This wasn't the Minari I met weeks ago; he was a completely different person. Overwhelmed with pain, I begged him to stop, but he wouldn't. I felt his weight crushing me, his fists pounding my face. Summoning strength, I pushed him to the floor and escaped with bruises and agony.
Passersby asked if I was okay, but I couldn't speak. My neighbor found me outside the hostel gate and helped me to my dorm. Simi was waiting, concerned, and asked what happened. I remained silent, fearing tears and disappointment. She cleaned my wounds with hot water and a towel.
Finally, I burst into tears, revealing, "Minari hit me, Simi!" Simi was outraged, "You must break up with this useless guy!" I was torn, regretting ever meeting Minari. Closing my eyes, I wished it was just a bad dream, but it was reality.
I vowed never to see him again, ending our relationship. My heart was shattered, and I was angry with myself for believing in love.
