“Still in the mansion with your grandfather?” she further inquired, “last time, you left the mansion.” I took a deep breath and calculated my words mentally before I replied to her.

“I have not been to the mansion since I left, and my grandfather is dead,” I said and she dropped her fork immediately. There was a flash of sympathy in her eyes as she looked at me.

“It must be hard for you,” her voice was soft as she spoke, I nodded. “I’m sorry, Theodore, I didn’t know,” she added.

“No Angelina, there’s nothing to apologize about,” I assured her. At the end of the meeting, I told her about my company and she looked forward to visiting it while I promised to help her look into her father’s business. With the promise to see her again, I bade her goodbye.

I smiled as I remembered and gratitude filled my heart towards Conner for helping me this far, yet, he had a lot to explain to me about the will and the terms attached to it.
