I have sown fig leaves and tried to hide my shame.
I have hidden behind the tree as though a mediator to save.
I have been rattled by my lover's footsteps, the ones that once amused my heart at sundown, now the sound of his approach makes my heart skip a bit faster than the rhythmic beat of our love song, His call to me.
I have wandered from the spring that never goes out.
I have made for myself broken cisterns that never holds water.
My thirst is a sign that I am far from home and my thirst is a sign of his call back home.
I have tasted of the liquor of the land and once again, I can say to my dismay, I am drunk again.
Yet, He calls to me...
He says “you must believe that I love you better on your good days than I love you on your not-so-good ones... But if the work of salvation must be wrought, it must be by MY RIGHT HAND. If your story must be told, it should be because I made of you my mighty power to save! For it is by my will that you were found and it must remain by my hand that you stay bonded to me...”
So, let go and let God... Dear reader.
Have you woken up to bottles and your bible next to your bed?
Have you lifted up your hands to Jesus and then after poured yourself another drink?
Are you drunk again?
Let go and let God... Because
Philippians 1:6 TPT
[6] I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!
1 John 5:4-5 TPT
[4] You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. [5] So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Galatians 3:20 TPT
[20] Now, a mediator does not represent just one party alone, but God fulfilled it all by himself!
... He WILL take the glory even when you fail, all he calls us, you and I to do, is to WAR FOR OUR FAITH... To believe what he has said.
“Colossians 1:23 NLT
[23] But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News...”
So, let God now.
