I have had this urge to write a love song,
To write a piece about a girl or to one,
Having currently zero romantic affiliations,
I wondered the what to say and the how to convey without betraying my current state in truth.
As I tarried reflecting, it hit me that a 'love song' or a 'love poem' doesn't have to be only towards a female or about romantic dangles,
So I came to ask myself; what Is Love?
Love is not a word,
It is the silence before the word.
It is the hum of creation,
The pulse that beats beneath illusion.
It is not something you give or get,
But something you are when all else falls away,
And only truth remains.
Love is the thread that ties the stars,
The breath that fills the void,
The knowing that there is no “other,”
Only echoes of the same divine voice.
It is not emotion, but vibration
It is the highest note in the song of the soul,
The stillness in presence,
The fire that awakens.
It is Christ within,
The Spirit between,
The Source beyond.
Love is the original frequency,
The language of light,
The form of formlessness,
The eternal “I AM” clothed in compassion.
So when you ask; What is love?
Know this:
It is not what you feel,
It is what you remember.
