The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Oyo State chapter, is set to inaugurate a new layer of political coordinators across the state’s three senatorial districts and 33 Local Government Areas, in a move designed to deepen grassroots mobilisation and strengthen the All Progressives Congress structure in Oyo.

The initiative, announced in Ibadan by Senator Teslim Folarin, positions the group as a key driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu within the state. Folarin, who serves as the state Ambassador for the organisation, said the inauguration would formally consolidate the group’s presence and operational framework across Oyo.

According to him, the senatorial and LG coordinators have been carefully selected to reflect the political diversity and demographic spread of the state. They are expected to serve as the primary interface between the party’s leadership and communities at ward and neighbourhood levels, ensuring that policies and programmes are better understood and more effectively implemented.

The coordinators will be tasked with organising town hall meetings, coordinating door-to-door engagement, and relaying feedback from residents to party leaders. They are also expected to work closely with existing APC structures, including ward executives and local government party officers, to avoid duplication of roles and to promote cohesion.

The inauguration, scheduled to hold at the Oyo State APC Secretariat in Oke Ado, Ibadan, is expected to draw party members, stakeholders, and invited guests from across the state. The event will mark the formal commencement of duties for the newly appointed coordinators, who will immediately begin work ahead of future electoral contests and ongoing policy advocacy.

Folarin described the exercise as a strategic step toward rebuilding trust between political actors and citizens, stressing that effective communication and visible presence at the grassroots are central to the Renewed Hope philosophy. He noted that the coordinators would be evaluated on their ability to mobilise support, maintain discipline, and foster unity within the party.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a support platform aligned with the APC, has been active in voter education, policy sensitisation, and mobilisation campaigns. The rollout of senatorial and LG coordinators in Oyo is seen as part of a broader effort to entrench the group’s influence and ensure that the federal government’s agenda resonates with ordinary residents across the state.
