Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has formally unveiled a new Christian ministry, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, positioning it as a global spiritual movement rather than a conventional church.

Announcing the initiative on her Instagram page, Dikeh described New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle as an interdenominational altar and “global movement of consecrated believers called to experience the raw power, purity, and presence of God.” The name and vision are rooted in the biblical passage Mark 2:22, which warns against putting new wine into old wineskins, a metaphor she appears to embrace as a call to radical spiritual renewal.

According to the statement shared on her page, the ministry is designed as “a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation.” Its stated vision is “to see a global awakening of consecrated believers operating in the raw power, purity, and presence of God, transforming nations and establishing the Kingdom of Christ on Earth.”

The mission of New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, as outlined in the announcement, is to build “an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival, and apostolic training that equips watchmen, activates spiritual gifts, drives relentless soul winning, and delivers total freedom to the captive through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Dikeh was careful to distinguish the gathering from a traditional church structure. “This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God,” the statement read. “A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom.” The ministry is scheduled to hold weekly fellowship meetings every Friday at 6:00 p.m.

The unveiling marks a new phase in Dikeh’s highly public spiritual journey. In recent months, she has adopted the name “Ada El-Roi” in many of her posts and become visibly active in Pastor Jerry Eze’s New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations community, alongside noticeable changes in her dressing and public lifestyle.

Dikeh has previously spoken openly about her Christian faith, sharing a testimony of deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and long-standing anger issues during a service at Streams of Joy International Church. The actress, who also ventured into politics as a governorship running mate in Rivers State, has frequently linked her personal reinvention to what she describes as a deeper encounter with God.
