A STORY - 1 year ago

I'll never forget the day I accompanied my Aunt to her colleague husband's burial.
I sat there listening to all heartfelt messages of thanks, love, wishes, promises, regrets and care. Everyone poured out their hearts in the best way possible. As I listened, I realized that neither those words nor their presence heard or felt by the dead person.

I reasoned in my mind a truth that most of them refuse to listen to: "Mr Dakpo, the dead can't hear your words, but I do. The bereaved family does. Well wishes does" but the dead don't, so why wait till someone is dead before you gift them their "flowers?"

I shared my thoughts with my Aunt, she agreed with me and so we began to make a change that day. We started sharing our appreciation, love, and gratitude with each other, and with others around us. The impact was obvious.

This week and beyond let's all decide to...

not wait until it's too late. Let's tell our loved ones how much they mean to us, today. Let's create a ripple effect of kindness, appreciation, and love that resonates with everyone.
