The Anambra State Police Command has launched an investigation into a disturbing viral video showing a group of young women physically assaulting another woman in what appears to be a private residence.

In the footage, which has circulated widely on social media platforms, the victim is seen being slapped, beaten and humiliated by at least two other women while others present record the incident on their phones. The video has sparked widespread outrage, with many Nigerians demanding swift justice and the identification of everyone involved.

Police authorities in Anambra confirmed that one female suspect has been arrested in connection with the assault, while another principal suspect remains at large. According to the command, the arrested woman is currently in custody and is assisting detectives with information aimed at tracking down the remaining suspects and establishing the full circumstances surrounding the attack.
