Unijos has to be one of the slowest universities in Nigeria. I mean, who spends almost four months at home for a holiday while others are heading towards graduation? We can't even think about that now.
Schooling in Nigeria is so traumatic - considering how slow and intense it is, when you're barely taught and then asked brain-breaking questions in return. I was not surprised when the guy who was a third-class student in Nigeria became a first-class student abroad.
What's the essence of making us crack our brains when there are no well-funded hospitals and equipment to take care of us when we get ill? I've been hoping to resume soon, but so far, nothing has come from the school. I know it's the late admission again.
Last session, I pitied the new students who were admitted into the school just a few weeks before exams. Maybe this is an attempt to correct that, but will our academic system ever get better? When money keeps being embezzled? the so-called federal schools gradually becoming no different from private ones.
School now feels like a waste of time. See how time keeps passing. But maybe it's for good, like one of my coursemates said - 'It is what it is.' All we want is to get this degree, is that too much to ask?
