The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will begin on January 26 and run through February 28 at all approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across Nigeria. Prospective candidates can start purchasing the UTME application e-PINs from January 19 to February 26, and those interested in taking the mock exam must express interest by February 16. Direct Entry (DE) application documents and e-PIN sales will open on March 2 and close on April 25.

JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede also highlighted eligibility rules, noting that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 are generally considered eligible, with rare waivers assessed under strict conditions. The board will monitor all registration activities live from its headquarters to ensure transparency, and candidates are urged to register early to secure their preferred test locations.
