Waking up from his slumber, he thought to himself, "What was that about?" as he walked out of bed into the living room, seeing his mum in her usual rocking chair, staring into nothing. He greeted her, not expecting a reply, and went off to the kitchen. He glanced to the side of the door and wondered, "Something's missing here; I clearly remember seeing a crack by the door," then continued with his activities for the day. Fifteen years after the death of his father and six years after the supposed incident, on his way back from a stroll, he saw something that looked like a horse with wings and a horn following him from behind. Scared, he picked up his pace and ran home, bolting the door shut. He walked up to the living room, and his mum was not in her usual spot. He checked her room and everywhere at home, but she was nowhere to be found. As unusual as it was for his mum not to be around, something even more unusual awaited him. He looked out at the yard and saw the creature he thought was just his imagination, standing and waiting.
