Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has directed that all commissioners and executive appointees must wear a cap bearing President Bola Tinubu’s insignia popularly called the “Asiwaju cap” during State Executive Council (Exco) meetings, threatening that anyone who fails to comply would be turned away.
Okpebholo, who publicly credited Tinubu’s support for his electoral success, insisted the gesture is a visible expression of loyalty, not mere rhetoric. He emphasized that while the appointments were made on merit, the expectation is that his team will show unity, discipline, and unwavering support for the president.
