A Reflection on Our Journey.
The world can be likened to a vast marketplace. Each day, people enter at different times—some in the morning, others in the afternoon, and still more in the evening. Yet regardless of when we arrive, one truth remains constant: at the end of the day, everyone must return home.
As we celebrate milestones like the New Year, filled with joy and excitement, it is easy to forget that our time on earth is steadily moving toward its conclusion. The celebrations remind us of life’s beauty, but they also whisper of its brevity.
This raises a profound question: when the day ends, what will we take home?
Will we return empty‑handed, with nothing to show for our journey?
Or will we carry with us faith, righteousness, and the fruits of a life lived with purpose?
Every sunrise reduces the number of days we have left and adds to the days we have already spent. Each moment is a reminder that one day, we will stand before our Maker. And when that day comes, our fate will not be determined by the length of our stay on earth, but by the quality of the life we lived.
Let us, therefore, live with intention. Let us embrace each day not merely as time passing, but as an opportunity to build a legacy of faith, love, and righteousness. For when the marketplace closes and we return home, may we not arrive empty‑handed, but fulfilled ready to meet our Maker with peace in our hearts.
