Her eyes widened in shock. "You were with another woman, last night, did you even think how I will feel?"

He hesitated, knowing the weight of his actions. "I was weak, and I made a terrible mistake. I know I hurt you, and I'm deeply sorry."

Her voice trembled. "Sorry isn't enough. You broke my trust, and I don't know if I can ever forgive you."

He nodded, understanding her pain. “I don't expect forgiveness, but I hope we can talk and work through this together.”

Her eyes flashed with anger, but beneath it, he saw a deep hurt. "You broke our trust and you threw away our relationship for a moment of pleasure."

He felt a stinging sense of guilt and regret. “I know, Baby.  I was wrong, and I'm so sorry. I love you, and I don't want to lose you.” 

Her voice cracked. "You should have thought of that before you cheated on me. Now, I don't know if I can ever trust you again."

He stepped forward, desperate to make things right. "Please, Baby, don't give up on us. Let's work through this together. I'll do anything to regain your trust."

Abigail's eyes searched his face, looking for any sign of sincerity. He knew he had a long way to go to earn back her trust, but he was willing to do whatever it took.
