Childhood Desires Fading Like A Rainbow..... - 2 months ago

I was boarding a public transport (korope) from Oshodi to Sango today. While in the bus, I am used to using my earpiece in the bus due to some noise in the bus or even breeze while the bus is at a high speed.

I noticed a woman and her child at my back, a very young girl speaking fluently. From my observation she might be from the Igbo tribe. Before the bus moved, she was pointing the direction to mile 2 to her mom which means they have passed through that route before….

To the koko orol, a pink range rover passed by which caught my attention because of the plate number, it was someone's name written on the plate number — I was thinking it was a celebrity but It wasn't.

Then I heard from my back “Mummy I will buy that car when I grow up”. I smiled when I heard the girl telling her mom and whispered “Amin” silently for her because while growing up, we all had dreams and desires we want to achieve but the moment life starts happening to us, these desires start to fade like a rainbow in the sky.

While growing up, I don't really have a particular dream or desire but at this point…..Alotttt of desires and goal that wants to achieved 😅. But due to some circumstances, it's a bit difficult which is a motivation to keep me going.

This is a message to that girl..

I wish you “BEST OF LUCK”
