The towering figure before me was no man, he was a mountain.
They called him Goliath.
The ground shook beneath his feet
Many fled in terror. They avoided its path.
I was afraid but I was careful not to show it.
Better men than me have tried and failed
Who am i?
Every fibre of my being screamed “Run”, “Give up” “Its impossible”
But I stood still eyeballing this mountain before me.
I had a secret weapon.
I reached for my pocket and found the note I had written.
It read, Matthew 17:20, ”For assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this Mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
I felt this wave of Glorious purpose hit me.
I smiled and clenched my fist.
The fear of fear itself was my biggest fear so I shut it out
With energy, I took my slingshot and fired that one stone.
When I looked up, the mountain was leveled.
It became level ground
And I stepped on it.
All who saw it marveled,
They asked, how did you do it?
I said God did.
They asked, why did you do it?
I said, to show others it can be done”
