The Day I Realized I Couldn't Please Everyone - 1wk ago

I remember trying so hard to be everything everyone wanted.

I said yes when I wanted to say no. I changed my opinions to avoid arguments. I stretched myself thin just so nobody would be disappointed.

Then one day, someone still found a reason to complain.

That moment changed something in me.

I realized that no matter how kind, helpful, or careful you are, you'll never be enough for everyone. Someone will misunderstand you. Someone will expect more. Someone will still criticize you.

So I stopped chasing everyone's approval and started protecting my peace.

Ironically, that's when I became happier.

The truth is, you don't need everyone to like you. You just need to be someone you can respect when you look in the mirror.

Trying to please everyone is exhausting. Choosing authenticity is freeing.
