The Sceptre and the sword

***

Two thrones, and levels of Glory, yet very different—almost opposites.

One seeks to prove, but the other? It's rather indifferent.

Indifferent in the sense that it knows, it KNOWS where it's placed and doesn't need to prove. It's not insecure about being brought low, because the lowliness of a position doesn't cancel out It's ordination.

One speaks with peace, and the other waxes stronger with worry.
The response of a man when faced with confrontation, shows what he holds: a Sceptre, or the Sword.

The Sceptre holder makes the ruling, while the Sword bearer responds to the ruling.
In a battle, you find many men with Swords, but just few with the Sceptre.

As desirable as thrones are, what differentiates one man from another, is where each stands.
What determines where one stands, is what he knows.

The quality of your knowledge translates into the output of your life.

Little wonder why God says, my people perish for lack of knowledge.
