AFCON 2023 finalists Nigeria are in search of redemption at the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations  after recent international disappointment where they failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Super Eagles have now missed out on the World Cup for the second consecutive edition, a first since their tournament debut in 1994.

At the previous AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria reached the final but fell short against the hosts.

The 2025 tournament in Morocco offers the country’s so-called “golden generation” a chance to go one step further and lift continental glory for the first time in 12 years.

With captain William Troost-Ekong retired, Nigerian fans can still look to a squad of star players, including African Footballer of the Year winners Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, to lead the charge.

Nigeria are placed in Group C alongside Tanzania, Uganda and Tunisia.
