Lagos State Police Command don scatter one child prostitution ring for Idumota area for Lagos Island, and dem rescue 12 teenage girls wey dem believe say people traffic and force do sex work.

Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, lead the operation after dem get information from one 16 year old girl wey escape from one of the house and go find help for Bode Thomas Police Station for Surulere. Dem identify the girl as Chinasa. Person see am for road as she dey bleed and she no dey stable, after dem beat am and throw am comot for house.

Police arrest one 28 year old woman wey her name na Princess Andrew. Dem say na she dey center of the trafficking group. According to wetin police investigate, Andrew dey carry girls wey dey between 13 and 15 years from states like Delta and Imo. She go promise them better work, but when dem reach Lagos, she go force them do prostitution.

Fatai talk say the girls wey dem rescue explain give police say dem pack them inside small small room and force them to sleep with many men every day. If any girl refuse, dem go beat am or threaten am. One of the girls tell police say she sleep with about 30 men during the time wey dem hold am, and she wound well but nobody treat am.

Chinasa talk say dem promise her catering work with salary of 100,000 naira every month. But when she reach, dem tell am make she remove cloth and begin attend to men. She talk say when she first refuse, dem give her one drug wey make her weak and she no fit control herself again. She say she dey work from late afternoon till early morning, and dem dey collect between 3,000 and 10,000 naira from each man. But na only small money for food she dey see, as her madam dey keep the main money.

Commissioner Fatai talk say the girls wey dem rescue dey between 13 and 15 years. He add say from wetin the victim talk, e be like say up to 30 girls fit dey involved. For now, 12 dey under police protection, and dem still dey find the remaining girls and other people wey join for the matter, including one woman wey people know as Sugar.

Fatai confirm say the main suspect go face court, and dem don carry the case go special unit wey dey handle human trafficking and child abuse. The girls wey dem rescue dey receive medical treatment and counselling, and authorities dey work to join them back with their family and protect them well for future.
