Memory Lost - 1 year ago

In the depths of the mind, a shadow creeps,
A thief in the night, that steals and conceals.
Memories once vivid, now fade like the sun,
A life's tapestry, unraveling, thread by thread, undone.

A name, a face, a moment, lost in the haze,
A grief that's hard to grasp, a sense of disarray.
The familiar becomes strange, the known, unknown,
A life's narrative, fragmented, like a puzzle overthrown.

In the mirror, a stranger's eyes stare back,
A reflection of a soul, that's lost its track.
The past, a distant dream, that slips away,
A present, uncertain, like a fading ray.

But still, a glimmer remains, a spark that gleams,
A memory, though faint, that still beams.
A love, a laugh, a tear, that refuses to fade,
A fragment of a life, that's still displayed.

For even in forgetting, there's a memory that stays,
A lingering essence, that never fully fades away.
And though the mind may forget, the heart remembers still,
A love, a life, a legacy, that forever stands and fills.
