🚨 European football has suffered nearly 22,600 player injuries over the past five years, costing clubs an estimated €3.45 billion in wages paid to unavailable players. 

· The Premier League accounts for a large share of injuries and costs, with top clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle among those with the highest injury counts

· The Men’s European Football Injury Index reports that across the top five leagues there have been about 22,596 injuries in the last five seasons.

· These injuries have generated an estimated cost of €3.45 billion for clubs over that period.
