The Power Of Faith And Patience In Prayer - 1 year ago

When we pray, we do so with faith, believing that God will answer our prayers. Yet, we often forget that God's ways are not our ways. Sometimes, we act spiritual in front of others to prove something, but in secret, we do the unthinkable.

Faith without works is dead. You can't ask God for daily bread and then sit at home waiting for manna to fall from the sky. You have to go out and work, making an effort for God to bless you with your daily bread. His blessings can come in many forms, such as using someone to bless you or sending more customers to your shop.

We often pray without faith, forgetting that without belief, our prayers cannot be answered. For instance, I asked God for $500,000. While He didn't give me that exact amount, He saved me from situations that would have cost me $500,000. His blessings, though hidden, are nonetheless real. They may not come in the form we expect, but they come, and that's what matters. God is all-knowing and sees what will happen before it occurs. Sometimes, we humans limit God or question Him in certain situations. You might pray for something, and when God doesn't grant your wish instantly, that's when your faith and hope are tested.

You must wait patiently, believing that your prayers will be answered. In 2015, I prayed for admission to my school of choice, but I didn't get in. If I had lost hope, I would never have attained a higher degree. On a fateful day in 2018, I checked the JAMB portal and found that I was offered admission to study the course I wanted. I cried with joy because God answered my prayers after so many years. The joy I felt washed away the pain of those years. To God who made it possible, I will forever be grateful.
