A year out of High School with no plans for his future, Isaiah Wright is challenged by his single mom and successful businessman to start charting a new course for his life. Through the prayers of his mother and biblical discipleship from his new mentor, he begins discovering God’s purpose for his life is so much more than he could hope or imagine.
Directed by The Kendrick Brothers
Starring Aspen Kennedy, Priscilla Shirer, Cameroon Arnett, Karen Abercrombie and others.
Now this is a powerful movie. Isaiah was me (not in the same context but I could relate in some way).
Purpose really saved me from mediocrity o. I have come across people like Mr. Moore who mentored me in some way growing up. Some taught me the way to go, others taught me the way not to go and they didn’t even have to use words, by their deeds, I discerned. We need more people like Mr. Moore, someone to mentor the teens and others, trust me mentorship in Christ goes a long way.
When Mr. Moore said, “Most Churches are trying to win converts but not enough are effectively disciplining them. The world doesn’t need more lukewarm church goers.” I concur. Teach the ones in the Church to become Disciples of Christ, they will expand and not by addition but by multiplication.
“Jesus said, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:18-19)
This is the way and I have never heard this preached in churches. It came at the right time. We need “A Forge”.
“There’s a cost to following Jesus, it is 100% worth it”
This movie was a blessing, an inspiration, a wake-up call (an all-in-one package, I will say it served its purpose). The forge really showed me the importance of Godly Company. It will alter your mindset (I have felt this first hand).
I’ve always been a fan of the Kendrick Brothers’ movies. They’ve showed countless times, the power of a good story, a good Christian story. 38 Churches and ministries contributed to this project.
I absolutely recommend.💯
