Honestly? When life gets tougher, I slow down before I speed up.
I do a few things—nothing fancy, just real stuff which are:
I pause and breathe. Not to give up, but to reset. Panic makes everything louder than it really is.
- I break the problem into small pieces. Big problems feel impossible; small steps feel doable.
- I remind myself this isn’t the first hard season. I’ve survived 100% of my worst days so far.
- I talk to someone I trust (or write it out if no one is around). Carrying it alone makes it heavier.
- I keep moving, even slowly. Progress doesn’t have to be loud. consistency beats motivation.
- I’m kinder to myself. Tough times aren’t proof of failure; they’re proof I’m human and human do face challenges at times.
I turn to God. Author and finisher of my faith; Matthew 28:20 key me to him and renewed my strength that i am not alone in this.
Some days I’m strong. Some days I’m just still standing. Both count. And these are phrases that make life worth it.
The beauty of this journey is the challenges that will push you to becoming a better version of yourself.
