In the bustling city of Lagos, lived a young man named Frank full of dreams, vibes, and zero money.

Frank believed two things in life:

1. True love ❤️❤️❤️❤️will find you.

2. Jollof rice 🥣🥣🥣🥣🥩solves 99% of emotional problems.

One hot afternoon, he was strolling by Mama Nkechi’s food🥣🥣🥣🥣 joint when he saw her,Amaka. Hair like fresh garri. Smile 😊 😁  will call like suya smoke. Waist like let’s just say,it could confuse Google Maps🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

He was struck.

As Amaka giggled with her friends, Frank's stomach growled like a thunderclap⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡. Was it love? Or just hunger? He wasn’t sure. He placed a hand on his chest. “Is this the heartbeat of romance?”

Another growl. “Or indigestion from yesterday’s garri soakings?🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

He decided to act.

He walked up to her, chest high, eyes dreamy.

Hi Amaka… I’ve seen stars in the sky, but none shine like your eyes.

She smiled. “Aww. That’s sweet. Are you okay?”

Just then, his stomach betrayed him with the loudest growl known to mankind.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Amaka blinked. Was that… thunder?⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

Frank panicked. “No! That was my passion roaring for you.”

Her friend whispered, “That’s not passion, sis. That’s hunger. Deep hunger.”

Trying to salvage his pride, frank said, “Maybe we should get lunch… I mean, I’ll get lunch... if you’re not busy?”

Amaka nodded politely. “Sure! I love nkwobi and grilled fish.

Frank smiled. On the outside.

On the inside, his account balance screamed, ₦49.27.🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

They sat down to eat. Frank drank water like it was a full meal. Amaka devoured her plate like a champion.

When the bill came, Frank acted shocked, confused, and suddenly religious.

Haa! My spirit just told me my wallet was stolen! The devil is a liar!

Amaka, unfazed, paid the bill herself and gave him a bottle of water “for the road.”

As Frank walked home, stomach still growling, heart slightly broken, he sighed,

Next time, I’ll just cry for food. Love can wait.
