Continuation
He comes to command the kraken, a feared mythological sea monster.
Captain Jack Sparrow struck a deal with Davy Jones that if he (Davy Jones) raises his sunken ship, “The Black pearl” from the depths of the sea, he (Jack Sparrow) would give him his soul after 13 years but alas he didn’t. Jack sparrow eventually died but his crew travelled all the way to “Davy Jones’ locker”, a place where dead souls are trapped until deemed fit to be released for judgement, sort of a purgatory to bring him back to life.
‘He who kills the captain of the Dutchman takes his place as captain’, so no sailor dared to even cross paths with him except Jack Sparrow, who used his conniving mind and devious methods to evade the Dutchman. The only way to kill the Dutchman was by stabbing his heart which was beating in the locked chest, whose key was Jones’ most protected possession. He was eventually killed by William turner who wanted to free his father, Billy Bootstrap, from the service of the Dutchman. And he (William) took the Dutchman’s place but still retained his looks as he followed the original agreement to ferry souls who dies at sea.
