Title: Our First Solar Bill
When the electricity bills became too high, my father decided to try something new. He bought a small solar panel and fixed it on our roof. It was not big and it did not power the whole house. It could only run two bulbs and charge our phones.
At first, we laughed about it.
“How much light can the sun really give us?” my brother asked.
But after one month, something changed.
During power cuts, our house was still bright. My mother stopped using candles in the kitchen. I could read at night without waiting for the generator to come on. We also noticed that the electricity bill was lower than before.
It was not magic. It was just sunlight being turned into power.
My father said, “If every house uses even a little solar energy, we will save money and protect the environment.”
Now, the solar panel sits quietly on our roof, doing its work every day.
It does not make noise.
It does not produce smoke.
It just collects sunlight and gives us light.
That small change taught me that renewable energy is not only for big companies or rich countries.
It can start from one home.
