It’s International Youth Day!

And what better way to celebrate than by talking about one of the most integral parts of the world — the youth.

I think it’s safe to say that without young people, a nation can hardly thrive. From business and technology to social development and innovation, young people are everywhere, contributing in one way or another.

This year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” says more than the few words it contains. It highlights the different realities young people face while reminding us that, despite our differences, we share common hopes, dreams and aspirations for a better future.

It also recognizes young people as essential partners in achieving sustainable development.

So today, I’m celebrating you — the young person figuring things out, chasing dreams, creating change and trying to make a difference.
