Why We Think And Act The Way We Do 🧠 - 2wks ago

Have you ever wondered why most memories stay with you for years but others disappear almost immediately? Or how we react to certain issues that seems harmless to someone people?  These questions sit at the heart of psychology- the study of how our minds work and how the determine our behaviours.

Psychology shows up in our everyday lives and not just in the therapy room or textbooks. It shows up in how we handle friendships, stress, makes decisions and and even fall back into habits we promise to break.

Our thoughts and emotions often influence each other and without realizing it, a bad day can change our mood and determine how we speak to others and a kind word on the other hand- can completely lighten up the mood.

Our behaviours happen automatically and that's one of the most fascinating things about psychology. The reason why two individuals can face the same situation and walk away differently is because upbringing and the environment they are using in can quietly shape our reactions to situations.

Psychology helps us pause and understand- not to judge  ourselves but to ask why.

Nowadays, people are becoming more aware about mental health and it has helped bring psychology into our everyday life. People are now aware of stress, burnout , anxiety and emotional boundaries. Understanding the mind helps us to be patient with our selves and to know that's it's okay to feel the way we feel. We become kinder to others and understand that behaviours often have deep meaning to it

Phycology is all about the connection between our minds and emotion. Between who we are and who we are we are becoming . We don't just Learn the mind, we learn how to live patiently and intentionally
