Remember the saying: 
Fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Getting fooled the third time is symptoms of blind faith, love or masochism (a gluten for punishment).

But if you like suffering for another's sake, that just means you're a kind and moral person who believes in forgiveness and second chances.

It's also fair to yourself to know when to draw the line. Not everyone deserves to be loved or treated with kindness..
