BLOGSHOP IN COMPARISON TO LEADING BRANDS Part 1 - 1 year ago

I’ve been writing on Blogshop ever since I heard about it. So far, I’ve published sixty-five works, which include a mix of articles and poems.

But I’ve been wondering if Blogshop is achieving what it was meant for.

Please don’t read this out of context, and try to keep an open mind.

During one of the webinars we had, I remember someone mentioning WhatsApp, and the moderator suggested using the community section instead since WhatsApp is a rival brand. But is the community really functioning to the degree it should or was set up for? Personally, I doubt it, especially when I use the Unijos community as a yardstick for measurement.

We now have a "write and gain points" system, where these points are converted into cash. I’ve compared this approach with other leading platforms in the writing space, like Medium and Substack.

All these platforms reward users for the value they provide, not just for creating content. In an attempt for everyone to make money on Blogshop, some of us are just writing whatever comes to mind.

I mean, things that are rushed in order to gain points and get paid.On Medium, you get paid based on the value of your content, the engagement it receives, and its overall performance in a month. You’re paid at the end of that month. Substack works similarly; if you’re familiar with how YouTube's monetization works, Substack uses the same system to reward writers for their work.
