Tinubu Calls For National Unity And Religious Harmony To Strengthen Nigeria’s Stability - 1wk ago

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has renewed his call for unity and religious tolerance, stressing that peaceful coexistence among Nigerians remains vital to national stability and development.

Speaking during a public engagement, the president noted that Nigeria’s diversity should be a source of strength rather than division, urging citizens to embrace mutual respect across religious and ethnic lines.

Tinubu emphasized that insecurity thrives in environments where intolerance and mistrust are allowed to fester. He called on religious leaders, community heads, and political actors to promote dialogue and understanding, adding that peace cannot be achieved through force alone but through shared values and collective responsibility. According to him, tolerance is key to building trust and preventing conflicts that threaten lives and livelihoods.

The president also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies that promote inclusion and protect the rights of all Nigerians, regardless of belief or background.

He urged citizens to reject hate speech and divisive narratives, insisting that unity and cooperation are essential pillars for achieving lasting peace, security, and sustainable national growth.
