Once upon a time, in a quaint village, lived a man named Kayode who was notorious for his ambition. One sunny afternoon, Kayode spotted two rabbits in the meadow. One was plump and leisurely munching on a carrot, while the other was swift and darting around.
Determined to catch them both, Kayode sprinted after the plump rabbit first. Just as he was about to grab it, the swift rabbit zoomed by, distracting him. He pivoted to chase the speedy one, only for the plump rabbit to hop away mockingly.
Back and forth Kayode went, arms flailing and sweat pouring. The rabbits seemed to be enjoying the spectacle, occasionally stopping to nibble on some grass and watching kayode’s futile attempts.
By the time the sun began to set, Kayode was exhausted and empty-handed, while the rabbits, now best friends, hopped off into the sunset together, leaving Kayode to ponder his next overly ambitious plan. The village dubbed him “The empty-handed chaser,” and he became a legend in the village—for all the wrong reasons.
Moral of the story: Pursuing too many goals at once can leave you empty-handed. Focus on one goal at a time to achieve success.
