On Thursday, the SUG election, the utmost decider of the fates of these aspirants, brought shocking results.
One would expect KBJ and Citizen to tie belts, to lock horns like bulls, each competing strongly in numbers of votes. But that wasn't the case.
At 12:25 pm, Citizen had amassed nearly a thousand votes while KBJ was struggling with five hundred votes, Mansur with two hundred votes. This came as a shocker because I wasn't expecting such a huge difference between sentiment and excellence in our country.
By 5pm, when the election closes, Citizen has amassed 2000+ votes while KBJ amassed less than 900 votes, Mansur still less than 200 votes.
It was eye-opening for me.
Through this election, Competency and excellence emerged like a Phoenixs and declared themselves as superior to sentiments, propaganda and clumsiness.
So in all you do, be competent, make and keep antecedents, and of course, pursue excellence.
