In a busy city, somewhere in Nigeria, five friends from diverse backgrounds—Emeka, a soft-spoken Igbo man; Aisha, a determined Hausa woman; Tolu, a passionate Yoruba man; Nkechi, a witty Igbo woman; and David, a creative African-American—met during their NYSC service year. They forged an unbreakable bond during those three weeks of camp, where they learned to see past their differences and embrace their shared humanity.

After camp, they decided to keep in touch, meeting up regularly despite the challenges of distance and busy schedules. During one of their meetups, they decided to visit a new restaurant in the city. To their shock, they were denied entry because the establishment ,did not cater to certain groups.

The experience left them angry and disheartened, but instead of letting the hate break them, they chose to fight it. They started a movement using their skills to spread the message that hate has no place in their city, or anywhere in the world.

Their campaign gained momentum, drawing attention from media and communities across the nation. They reminded people that no one chooses their skin color, tribe, or place of birth, and that diversity should be celebrated, not condemned.

Their message was simple but profound, “We are all important in this world. No one is superior or inferior because of their race or ethnicity, the hate stops with us.
