"Feeling lonely and blue,

There’s no one to love me but you.

Without you, everything goes dark,

Patiently waiting for when you’ll be back,

Knowing fully well you’ll never be."

Carla wrote in her diary as tears streamed down her cheeks, her heart heavy with sorrow. Beside her lay a picture of her late husband, a bittersweet reminder of their love, while she cradled their three-month-old baby in her arms, despair clawed at her insides, whispering dark thoughts of reuniting with the love she lost. But as she glanced down at the innocent face of her child, who looked up at her with pure joy, an overwhelming wave of emotions crashed over her. She broke down again, holding him tightly, feeling the warmth of his small body against her.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, but Carla remained trapped in her grief, shutting herself away from the world. Luke grew, fully aware of the shadows in the home with the books on his father's shelf keeping him company he taught himself what life would be like beyond the four walls he was trapped in.

Years passed, and Luke tired of reading the same thing over and over again, he was in need of a new adventure, and as the sun cast a golden hue through the kitchen window, he stumbled upon a narrow opening at the side of the kitchen door, where a bright light seeped through the crack, almost blinding him, drawn by its warmth and brightness, he took a hesitant step forward, "this light could illuminate not only his path but also the way back to his mother’s heart, how could he not have noticed it" he thought as he walked towards it. His eyes widened with shock that this moment of discovery could could change their lives forever little did he know wait was on the other side
