In the past, I cared deeply about other people’s opinions. How I looked, how I dressed, how I laughed, even the food I ate. It was draining and quietly sad, constantly trying to fit into spaces that never truly felt like mine.
Everything began to change when I let go of that circle. I paused the constant chase for approval and turned inward. I started understanding myself, working on my weaknesses, and leaning into my strengths.
The real shift came when I found the right people. A mentor. Friends who challenged me in healthy ways. A community that protected me from negative voices and empty validation.
Things can get better. But first, you have to notice the problem. That alone solves half of it. The rest begins with changing your circle.
