Inside One Of The Biggest Events In Lagos: My Journey As An Influencer - 2wks ago

The event, Shakara Festival, featured artists like Mavo, Fola, Johnny Drille, and Brymo, and each performance brought a different kind of energy. It took place at Nautica Beach, which made the vibe even more special.

Some of the photos above were taken by me, capturing moments from both the stage and behind the scenes.

It was a four-day event, and every single day was better than the last. Working backstage was surreal. Seeing the artists up close and watching the crowd from that angle made the experience even more special. The events started at midnight and ran into the early hours of the morning, with people dancing nonstop and fully soaking in the December atmosphere. At some point, I even stepped out to the beach just to enjoy a moment of serenity amidst the chaos.

My role was mainly on-ground promotions. I also gave people free tickets so more people could come out, enjoy the event, and soak in the December season.

I worked alongside other influencers, and it was a solid experience. Everyone brought something different to the table. We worked together on targeted promotions, content pushes, and sponsored ads to make sure the event reached the right audience.

Overall, it was more than just a job. It was an experience I’ll always remember.
