Dear Ty,
Are you feeling lazy and unproductive?
Here's a review of "The Art of Laziness" by Library Mindset.
The book is divided into two parts; the first focuses on your mindset and how you can live a better and more peaceful life, and the second focuses on tips and techniques that will help you overcome laziness and boost your productivity.
100% RESPONSIBILITY
No one is coming to save you. You are responsible for your life. Your life gets better when you stop blaming others and take personal responsibility. Work on yourself and preserver, do not give up.
COMFORT ZONE IS YOUR ENEMY
If you want to grow, get out of your comfort zone and start working on yourself.
WORK ON THE RIGHT THINGS
Don’t waste time on things that don’t help you achieve your goals. Don’t waste time doing what you don’t love, and know that it doesn’t mean running away when it gets hard. Give it your best and don’t quit.
DAILY ROUTINE
Without a proper daily routine, you won’t be consistent with your work. Some days, you would be motivated and work well; the rest of the days, you would lack motivation, and you’re going to procrastinate. Without it, we prefer to do the easy task not the important ones. Do not multitask, focus on one task before moving to the next.
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE
The people around you will have massive impact on your thoughts, actions and your life. The good thing is you get to choose them. Choose wisely and don’t take advice from just anybody. Alex Hormozi said “If they don’t have what you want, don’t listen to what they say.”
TIPS AND TECHNIQUES THAT WILL HELP YOU OVERCOME LAZINESS AND BOOST YOUR PRODUCTIVITY
🔥Plan your day. Write everything you want to achieve in a day.
🔥Write your goals on a physical paper.
🔥Stop Multitasking. Switching tasks reduce your productivity a lot.Focus on one task at a time.
🔥Learn to say no. You will never have enough time if you say yes to everything.
🔥Don’t wait for the perfect time. Do It Now.
🔥Anything that can be done in under 5 minutes should be done now.
🔥Do the task that you hate first.
🔥Set deadlines; the task will never be finished without deadlines.
🔥Do what you love.
🔥Stop focusing on things that don’t help you achieve your goals.
🔥Practice Kaizen: Get 1% better every day.
🔥Don’t miss anything for two days in a row.
Finally Ty, the book has one of the most indelible book endings I’ve ever read;
"One day just like this book your life will end.
Do the things you want to do.
Travel the places you want to.
Read the books you want to.
Surround yourself with the people you want to.
Time is running out.
Start living!
Yours Truly,
