“Leadership Is Not About Title, It Is About Influence.”-  Dr Bayo Olugbemi Tells Youths At RECALP Bloom 2026 - 3 days ago

Lagos, Nigeria - “Leadership is not about title, it is about influence”, Dr Bayo Olugbemi told participants on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the RECALP Bloom 2026 conference held at the Provincial Parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God Lagos Province 19.

              Olugbemi, The provincial pastor, in his welcome address, advised young people to be men and women of vision. He added, “the decisions you make and the values you embrace, will shape not only your future, your family, your nation and the church of God”. He encouraged attendees to learn, unlearn, relearn and seek transformation beyond inspiration.

           The six-hour conference, themed “Bloom”, covered discussions on entrepreneurship, career, relationships, politics, and leadership and Artificial Intelligence.

            Celestine Achi, Founder and CEO of Cihan Media Communications, who took the AI session, defined the theme using an acronym: B-Build with AI, L-Learn Continuously, O-Own your niche, O-Operate with Integrity, M-Make things happen.“Bloom is not a decoration, it is evidence that a seed has overcome the soil, darkness, pressure and time”, He said.

          On entrepreneurship, Kolawole Temitope, CEO of Kolawole Auto service, shared how he learned mechanics for 8 years and worked for several years before establishing his own workstation. At the event, Kolawole Temitope empowered 5 participants with ₦50,000 each.

           During the career session, Chinedu Okereke, with over 37 years of experience in business said, “Career is about value proposition”, “Be mindful of your weakness, but amplify your strength”. He advised.

           Kolawole Amusa, a Human Resource and financial service professional stated,“You can only give value when you are competent enough, Being competent is having knowledge, skills and attitude”. Both speakers encouraged young people to acquire and master a skill. Chinedu Okereke alongside Kolawole Amusa granted 10 participants ₦50,000 each.

            The relationship session featured Tayo Olajide, Omowunmi Ogunsola, and Toluwaleke Aduradola as panelists. Olajide advised participants to guard their heart by paying attention to the Holy Spirit. Toluwaleke spoke on Pornography and it’s dark effects on humans.

            On leadership and politics, Dr Bayo Olugbemi alongside Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye answered questions about why young people shy away from politics and encouraged them to be involved.“Don’t let the old ones own the stage, send them out of it”, Honourable Rotimi said to the youths. He empowered 30 participants with  ₦50,000. 
Hundreds of youths attended the summit.
