It is brewing inside of man driving him to the utmost extremes. He is running away from it but it keeps haunting him. Denial. In reality it is not him chasing but him being chased. What he chases, chases him. Fear. He fears to face himself. He looks for all these things outside of him for inside it is dark. If only he shined the light within perhaps he would find the treasures in the dark but now his eyes shine outwardly. He gets carried away by the offerings of this world.

Man discovers the world because his eyes shine there. Had his eyes shone the other way he would discover himself.

All the chaos in this world is because of man's restlessness and discontent. Greed, murder, envy, jealousy, hate, war, destruction, all these are the fruits of the restless ego that can't get enough, the restless ego exchanging the now for the then, the present for the future, reality for the dream. And this is because the ego is the dream, the illusion, who created the illusion in which it functions. Maya."
