They called it one of the greatest gangster films ever made. Regarded as a cult classic and has been referenced extensively in pop culture. I’ve always heard the name Tony Montana in song lyrics and movies but never got the reference. I got this movie and was skimming through. I got to the ending and I heard the man say He is Tony Montana. That was the bait that caught me o, I went back to watch it from the start with keen interest now.

Tony rose from nothing to become an infamous drug lord. This wealth doesn’t come without enemies. He begins to suspect everyone. Got high on his own supply and as he boosts nobody can kill Tony Montana, he is shot dead by a n assassin in an attack. He falls from his balcony into a fountain in the lobby below and floats dead in his own bloodied pool beneath a statue with the inscription enlightened in pink neon, “The world is Yours”, a warning that a life of crime never pays, Tony eventually fell to his own devices. The ill-gotten wealth drove him mad with suspicion. He couldn’t trust anyone. He lost everything in a day, his best mate, his sister, his wealth, his life. The tragic tale of one who went through the wide way. The world is Yours?  Ironic💯
