University of Nigeria, Nsukka Holds 2025 Matriculation Ceremony

 

Nsukka, Nigeria – The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, witnessed a grand celebration yesterday as the 2025 matriculation ceremony took place, officially welcoming new students into the academic fold. The ceremony, held at the university’s main auditorium, was attended by a host of dignitaries, faculty members, and thousands of newly admitted students, marking the beginning of their academic journey.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Igwe, delivered an inspiring keynote address, urging the matriculants to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in their university careers. He emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and the pursuit of academic excellence, which are the pillars of success at the University of Nigeria.

  • The ceremony saw the new students take their oath of allegiance, pledging their commitment to uphold the values and academic integrity of the university. As part of the tradition, the freshers wore their ceremonial robes and caps, marking their formal induction into the university. 

The ceremony was further enlivened by performances from the university’s cultural troupe and a series of interactive activities designed to engage both students and faculty.
