The new beginning
It was dawn. Yes, a new day for a new beginning. She would start with this; writing a new plan for a new life. It was time to make a change. She couldn’t continue her old lifestyle. Aremu had heard enough of the mocking, cutting remarks, and jeers from relatives and close family. She had promised herself that she would be distinct this new month. Ten months had been wasted doing nothing. She couldn’t remember the last time she did something worth doing. She remembered her long time friend from the university days-Tope, she had seen her last week and what she saw only made her more purpose-driven. For goodness sake what had she been doing since her graduation. So the saying that you must have a skill and not only your certificate was true. No, it was not too late for her to learn a skill, a digital skill. We are in an innovative world where changes evolves, so she would take up graphic designing. She heard it takes a long time for you to learn all in this skill, because it was quite broad. She was determined, nothing could deter her. After that she would save up some money from her salary to start a catfish business. It was quite lucrative. She once saw a cat-fish seller when she went to a restaurant to buy food and the amount he made that day was really exorbitant. Then on the weekends, which was her free time she would find a menial job that pays well daily. She had everything planned out.  She would make something for herself. A new start, a new beginning.
