Maurizio Cattelan is back and causing a stir in the art world once again! For the past month, art lovers and selfie enthusiasts have been flocking to the Gagosian gallery in Manhattan to take pictures with Cattelan's latest creation, a jaw-dropping 24-karat gold-plated wall that's been riddled with over 20,000 bullet holes. This 17-foot tall, 68-foot wide masterpiece is made up of 64 glittering panels, and it's definitely Instagram gold!

Visitors can't help but reflect on the contrast between wealth and violence as they see their own reflections appearing riddled with bullet holes. Cattelan’s new work, titled "Sunday," continues his tradition of provocative pieces like the famous banana duct-taped to a wall and his functional gold toilet. While many see "Sunday" as a commentary on American gun violence, Cattelan insists it could represent any part of the world.

The exhibit has already attracted 14,000 visitors, leaving many feeling torn between the beauty of the gold and the violence of the bullet holes. The panels, made in Italy and shot in Brooklyn, highlight this stark contrast. But that's not all, the gallery also features a Carrara marble fountain depicting a man urinating, adding even more to the themes of attraction and repulsion.

And if you're in the market for some high-priced art, some of the gold-plated panels are up for sale at a whopping $375,000 each! But drama alert! another artist, Anthony James, has accused Cattelan of copying his idea. Cattelan, of course, denies any wrongdoing.

Known for being a shock artist, Cattelan’s work never fails to spark debate and reflection. His latest piece, combining elements of wealth, violence, and human vulnerability, keeps us all talking and guessing about what's next.

So, whether you’re an art aficionado or just looking for that next viral selfie, Cattelan’s "Sunday" is the place to be.
