At the library I was going through the catalogs and someone tapped me from behind , oh my God you scared me why are you sneaking around, me oh no am not I just want to talk to you and you alone , ok let’s sit , they both grabbed a chair and sat down . Bilal looked around to see it their were many people around before he began, their were only a few people minding their business then he proceeded, I know we haven’t always been best of friends but along the way I just find myself thinking of you a lot and I tried so hard to stop but I couldn’t, you might not be my spec but I think I like you and I want you to be my girlfriend, Anaya shocked paused to process what Bilal just blurted out. 

The thing is I have to take all these and I just don’t know what to say

I know you don’t have to , just take your time

Am never sure of anything I just know am will to take the chance to know and I know for a fact you have taken a place in my head and my thoughts,

Few days later Anaya  sat o. A mat inside a mosque and was reciting the holy Quran , she was the only one inside then Bilal came in hey how are you

Am fine she said

Hahn you should ask if your girlfriend missed you 

Yes !! He Said with so much joy ,I miss my girlfriend too 

Ever since then Bilal and Anaya became best of friends they talk all day  , he buys her gifts send her money , compliments her and love her but then no one knows about them is like they are always sneaking around to meet each other. And this has began to bother Anaya , she keeps wondering why he doesn’t want them to be seen in public together. So she decided to confront him and tell him how she feels.

We have resumed school for the past one month but you have been avoiding me,you don’t want to be seen with me in public, you don’t want meet my friends , are you ashamed of me ,Bilal who is guilty began to mumble , no it’s nothing like that I just want to keep things private , I know and I understand but you are taking it too far Bilal unable to hold himself raise his voice what’s your problem you are you dating me for the public , aren’t you grateful that you have a chance with me , what are you saying Bilal she said with her eyes fixed on him almost crying, the truth is you are not the type of girl I want to be seen with , I just can’t get over you that’s why am with you but I don’t feel comfortable seen with you as my girlfriend people will laugh at me they will mock me , my friends will be disappointed 

Anaya whose eyes are already wet wiped her tears and spoke, her voice filled with bitterness, yes am not the most beautiful girl you know and yes you are way beyond me but you are not perfect either and I didn’t make myself, my only mistake is that I believe you actually cared for me , am glad you said all you said to me , she turned around and walked away leaving Bilal standing, he had almost immediately regretted what he said , what did I just do , I shouldn’t have said all these things to to her. He just stood their hopeless of the situation.

Now what’s going to happen, is this the end of their little story, would she forgive him , surely she’s hurt but he only said what he truly felt , I just think she deserves better.
