Episode 3
It got to the extent that he had to lay off his workers. I did not just understand all that was happening.

I came back from work that Tuesday evening, to see my mom in the balcony outside crying, and my sister was by her side, consoling her.
When I asked my sister what happened, she said that my mom was sacked, that her boss accused her of stealing the bank's money, and when I asked her how much it was, she said it's 700k. 'N700,000?' 'When, where, how did that even happen?' ‘Oh God, what is all these?’
First, it was my mom losing favour in the sight of her customers and boss, and my dad having little or no customers in his business. Now, who knows what's next?
(Still crying) my mom said: 'Bridget, are you supposed to be reminding me of every of my problems?' No, just pick a gun and shoot me, so that I'll know that I'm dead, and free from all these problems.
I didn't mean it that way, mom, I'm so sorry.
I didn't mean to shout at you too, my baby. I'm sorry too, my mom said, while hugging me.
I just feel that this is a phase that we have to pass through, but with God on our side, we shall overcome, said my mom.
Yes mom, I agree with you. (And there was a knock on our gate.)
Kaima, please tell the gateman to open the gate. (And Kaima left.) On coming back, she was with a man.
Good day ma, the man said.
Good day to you too, welcome to my house. 'Who are you, and how may I help you?' my mom said.
My name is Hassan, and I came to inform you about something…
Do you really want to know what Mr Hassan has to say?
