In a small village of oguta, nestled in the heart of Nigeria's lgbo land there lived a young girl named Ada. She was known throughout the village for her exceptional beauty and her love of the river.
One day while Ada was out fatching water from the river, she stumbled upon a mysterious woman. The woman was tall, with long, flowing hair and skin as black as coal.she introduced herself as mami water, the goddess of the river.
Mami water was taken by Ada's beauty and kindness, and she decided to give her some of her powers,so she took Ada to the deep of the river.
As the swim, she taught Ada how to communicate with fish and other river creatures.she also showed her the hidden treasures of the rivers and the precious stones.
When it was time for Ada to return home, the mami water give her a gift.she gave her a small, delicate shell that would allow her to communicate with her and the river when ever she want.
From that day on,Ada used the shell to communicate to the mami water and the water creatures and to learn its secrets.she became known throughout the village as the “river girl,” and people would come from all around the other villages to seek her advice and guidance.
Years went by, and Ada grew up to be a wise, beautiful and wonderful person.she never forget the lesson she contacted to use the shell to communicate to the river.
One day,a great drought struck the land, and the crops began to wither and die.The villagers were desperate, and they didn't know what to do.
Ada remembered the lessons she had learned from the mami water, and then decided to use the shell to ask the river for help. She went to the river bank, held the shell to her ear, and called out to the river for help and she had the rivers voice.
The river told her that the drought was caused by the village's disregard for the natural world. They had polluted the river, cut down the trees, and destroyed the habitats of the animals.
Ada knew that she must act fast. She gethered the villagers together and told them what they river goddess had said .she also urged them to work fast, to restore the nature of the environment.
The villagers listened to her words and went into action.they worked together to clean up the river, plant new trees, and restore the nature of the environment.
