Shakira’s World Cup Classic Also Charts

Shakira claims one more hit in the U.K. this week with “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” alongside Freshly ground. The former World Cup anthem appears on three rankings: the Official Streaming, Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, buoyed in part by the success of the singer’s even-newer soccer-related track. “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” declines on all three rosters this frame, but the fact that it’s still present at all speaks to the song’s popularity – and Shakira’s.
